*Catawba Valley Behavior Health, along with Drexel Police Department, offers a Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion Program - LEAD. LEAD is a pre-booking program designed to divert low level drug users from the traditional criminal justice system to appropriate individualized treatment services. This is accomplished through a warm-hand off from law enforcement to a case manager who will work the the person by referring them to an array of services such as mental health and drug treatment, harm reduction, housing and supportive services. Although there is certain criteria you must meet to be eligible if you are facing criminal charges, you can still receive these services as a referral, with no criminal charges. For more information, please contact the Drexel Police Department at 828-437-7421 or CVBH at 828-455-9760.
